Pillar and Post’s original structure was built in the late 1890s as a canning factory, and since has been transformed into Ontarios only 4 star country inn. We like the Pillar and Post for its relaxed elegance; beautiful terra cotta tile floors, indoor and outdoor pools, and an exotic hot springs pool at 100 Fountain Spa. The array of amenities makes it one of the better locations for families to relax thanks to an outdoor and indoor pool.

The Niagara on the Lake Golf Club is the oldest existing golf course in North America. Open to the public, the 9-hole course has two sets of tees for an optional 18 holes of play. The clubhouse has the best view of any restaurant in town as it looks across the mouth of the Niagara River to Fort Niagara on the American side.
