When visiting Niagara on the Lake, naturally one of the things you’ll want to do is find a place that offers the best view possible. Niagara on the Lake is a beautiful place with the rushing river nearby, quaint buildings perched near it, and the centuries of history that surround them.
Niagara Parkway is a path that runs along the Niagara River. This is a great place to take a leisurely stroll while the river rolls nearby. If you feel like taking some time to yourself and enjoying some well-deserved relaxation, a calm walk is just what you need. There’s no rush, and the people you’ll see along the walkway are friendly and having a good time themselves.
Of course, the very best view is from the Niagara on the Lake Golf Club restaurant. This Golf Club is actually the oldest in North America and has perfectly kept grounds and old buildings that are rich in history. But you want to see the water, right? Once you’re done taking peeks at the golf course (because who can resist?), you can head on up to the restaurant and gaze over the mouth of the river. On sunny days the view is breathtaking, the sun throwing millions of sparkles across the water. You’ll be able to see Fort Henry across the river, and sailboats bob like birds in the waves. On those clear days, you’ll even be able to see Toronto all the way across the lake!
